Nurturing your Creative Gifts

There is a new art/craft interest group starting, on 25 May. This will be held in the upstairs hall of the Graig building, every last Thursday of each month from 7:45 - 9:30pm. All are welcome to come and enjoy the time and space to create. Please bring your own materials. If you would like to know more, please speak to Liz Dorey or Meg Adams.

A trip to Cotswold Zoo

Vivien Thomas is organising a day trip on Tuesday 27 June going to Cotswold Zoo near Burford. The cost is £24.50, but over 65s and children will pay £21 which includes coach and Zoo entrance fee. A non refundable deposit of thirteen pounds will secure your place on the trip. These prices will depend on us being able to fill the 33 seater pre-booked coach.

The Zoo has a good reasonably priced restaurant, a children's play area, a mini train that costs £1 for a round trip around the zoo, wheelchair and mobility scooter availability (which need to be pre-booked) and plenty of open spaces to picnic and roam around. The animals are not free roaming but the venue has that kind of feel to it. Anyone interested please speak to Vivien. It would be lovely if we could make up the numbers to fill the coach.

Church Matters

Update on Constitution – The draft constitution has been sent out to members by email together with a covering letter. A meeting will be arranged to discuss this in the near future.

Election of Deacons – The nomination packs for the election of deacons were handed or posted to members last week. Your nominations should be received by Janet Williams by next Sunday 28 May 2017.

Church Meeting – The next Church Meeting will be held on Sunday 25 June after the morning service.

Holiday Club - helpers needed!

From Monday 24 to Friday 28 July we are planning on having an action packed and amazingly decorated holiday club in our Graig building to tell young people the good news about Jesus. For this to happen we need lots of volunteers, that could include you! We need people to create games, prepare crafts, decorate the hall, make teas & coffees and much more. So if you are able to help (over the week or in preparing beforehand) please contact Mark Dorey

Mobility Scooter for sale

Hilary Jardine has a friend who is selling a four wheeled mobility scooter (RMA Shoprider Camea Model GK8 price when new £900, reasonable offers considered).

Next, in the first week of the summer holidays, the children’s conference will be held on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 July 2017. Please see soundofwales.org.uk for more information as it becomes available and for booking.
