Tempo - Sunday 16th July 2017

This Sunday

Sunday School Prize-giving

Andy Sparkes will speak on an all-age topic

Lighthouse – Work amongst the Youth

The work of reaching out to the youth of Pontypridd has blossomed over the last year.  Provision of hot chocolate, a safe space and a listening ear on Friday evenings developed further into a meeting on Sunday evenings exploring faith where attendance is regularly over 30.  The Friday meetings continue over the summer, while the Sunday meeting takes a break during August.  Again, please pray for this important regular work with this group; for the young folks who come and for the leaders and helpers.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Patsy Gerrish or Ifi Otung Jnr.

Holiday Club – Bring your kids!

The annual Graig Summer Holiday Kids Club is happening from Monday 24 to Friday 28 July.  All kids connected, even loosely, with Temple are invited.  There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved (creating games, preparing crafts, decorating the hall, making teas & coffees and much more). If you are able to help, please contact Mark Dorey.

Last Week’s Activities

It was difficult to avoid meeting Christians in the centre of Pontypridd last week.  Mission to Wales ran all over our country and notably right here in Ponty.  Hundreds of Christians from our local area flooded the streets for nine days, and hundreds of local residents and visitors made a prayer of commitment to the Lord.

Glory Gallery Cafe opened its doors and provided free drinks and cakes, daytime activities for kids, and evening activities for adults, all to the glory of God.  These Sound of Wales efforts culminated in the EDEN event featuring Graham Kendrick on Friday evening, at St Catherine’s and Temple.

Please pray for all those who came into contact with both of these initiatives; that seeds sown will find good ground and provide a rich harvest; those who made a new commitment or re-dedication will quickly find root in a local church; and those who were involved in this evangelism will be greatly blessed.
