Proposal to reaffirm our call to Wayne Adams
This proposal was overwhelmingly approved by members at our recent Church Meeting. An ordination service to reaffirm our call to Wayne to serve as Teaching Elder will take place later in the year. Further details will follow in due course.
Holiday Club – Bring your kids!
The annual Graig Summer Holiday Kids Club is happening this week from Monday to Friday 10am to 12.30pm (registration from 9.45am). All kids connected, even loosely, with Temple are invited.
Congratulations to Nathan (Hallett) and Kelly who are getting married on Saturday 29th July. Your church family at Temple would like to send our warm wishes for your special day (via Richard and Sharon). We pray that this will be a time of blessing for you both and for your family and friends.
Temple Family Day – Save the Date
A day out for all ages at Temple is planned for Saturday 16 Sept 2017. Likely to take place in a leisure centre in Rhondda, it will include teaching for the adults (all ages) and lots of fun activities for small, medium and large sized kids, so something for everyone in the family. More information will follow.
Develop your Creative Gifts
Liz Dorey and Meg Adams will be holding their monthly craft group in our Graig building on Thursday 27 July (and again on 31 Aug) from 7.45pm. If you have any interest in creative activities, then please come along to find out what it is about.

There is a series of talks over the summer on Jesus’ model prayer for disciples in Luke 11.
6/8 “Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done” – praying for the future now
13/8 “Give us each day our daily bread” – praying grateful provision
20/8 “Forgive our sins as we forgive” – praying with a Gospel heart
27/8 Visitor – Mark Thomas, Rogerstone
3/9 “Lead us not into temptation” – praying the pursuit of holiness
Side Hall Refurbishment

Sound of Wales Children’s Event
SOW 4:14 is a creative worship event for children aged between 4 & 14 on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 July 2017 10am – 4.30pm (registration 9.30am). During this day we explore worship through the creative arts; music, dance, drama and art and encourage young people to discover more of the potential God has placed within them. SWBA Family Day
The South Wales Baptist Association is holding a family day on 30 Sept 2017, to be hosted by our friends at Bethel Baptist, Pontyclun. Again there are lots of young people’s activities plus seminars for adults, notably on personal evangelism and prayer. Hiraeth The Longing
Friday 11 (evening) & Saturday 12 August 2017 will see Hiraeth, an event focused on Family Fun Faith, to be hosted at Gelliwastad Road Churches.
