As part of our Harvest service, we'll be collecting food donations for Pontypridd Foodbank. The Foodbank aims to help spread good news to the community by helping to provide for those in need. Currently, food items they are short of include: tinned fruit, tinned meat, rice pudding, long life fruit juice, jam, packet noodles, packet mash.
Baptism of Seren Dorey
Seren Dorey is going to be baptised on Sunday 8th October in our Graig building at 3pm. Seren is very excited and everyone is welcome to join us for her baptism with teas, coffees and cakes afterwards. Please let Mark or Liz know if you would like to bring some cakes to share!
There will be a church meeting here following the service and consumption of packed lunches in two weeks on 15 October. Papers have been emailed to members and paper copies given out today to members who have requested this.
Wayne Adams Ordination Service
Wayne has completed his studies at the South Wales Baptist College. There will be a formal ordination service and celebration during the afternoon of 21 October.
Ann Hindson currently coordinates the hospitality rota, where families invite students and other visitors into their homes to enjoy lunch and fellowship together. This works out at once every 2 to 3 months per family. Please contact her if you are interested in this ministry (Heb 13.2)
A Call To Prayer
I would like to remind everyone that there is a prayer meeting at my home every Tuesday morning between 10 and 11:30am. It is a safe place to open our hearts to the Lord and to seek His will for our lives, our families, our town, our country and beyond. Please speak to Ann Hindson or Vivien or just turn up when you can. Vivien Thomas 492086
