Community Bible Reading Plan

Looking to get plugged into the Bible afresh in 2018? We’re starting a Bible reading plan that is available online at www.joincbr.com – and everyone’s welcome to join in.  The plan aims to take readers through the entire New Testament each year and the Old Testament over 3 years by reading a chapter or two per day. A handy app is available for iOS and Android or you can find this week’s readings below.

Praying for church activities

Many of you will have seen Andy Sparkes email about this.  As 2018 begins, please pray for

Craftypatch – more opportunities for intimacy. There is a great desire to see God moving in the lives of the ladies who attend and fruit in their lives.

Tiddlers – the existing group and for more workers to come forward as the existing team look to extend the ministry to a toddler group. Pray that God will open doors for good conversation and also wisdom as to how we introduce Jesus in more intentional but unimposing ways - whether that’s a seeker group or monthly meals similar to what’s happening on the Graig.

Men’s Breakfasts – the group as they begin a theme called ‘First Man Standing’ (begins this Sat, 13th), which looks at the Biblical model of being a man and how this impacts our lives and relationships. Pray that people might grow in God and bring a friend.

Awesome Kids –that the children will grow in their understanding of what it means to follow Jesus and that they would see the Church as a positive place to be. Pray also for the children who speak well of their own experience of youth clubs, asking that God would draw them from a place of good memories to real faith in Christ.
