Tempo - Sunday, 21st January 2018

This Sunday

Wayne Adams will be preaching from Matt 6:24-34 “Going Shopping”

This will be followed by a Church Members' Meeting which will be an extraordinary meeting to discuss and hopefully make a final decision on the Constitution for the church.

Community Bible Reading

Looking to get plugged into the Bible afresh in 2018? We’re starting a Bible reading plan that is available online at www.joincbr.com  The plan aims to take readers through the entire New Testament each year and the Old Testament over 3 years by reading a chapter from each per day. A handy app is available for iOS and Android.  The full 3 year plan is available from the church office on request.

Praying for church activities

Many of you will have seen Andy Sparkes email about this.  As 2018 begins, please pray

Lighthouse - that God would raise up a gifted individual to lead the work. Also pray that more volunteers will come forward and that God would protect these young souls who live in an increasing culture of drug and alcohol use. Pray that would follow Christ who will shape their lives knowing that they are deeply loved.

Time Off - for a number in the group who have age related health issues. Please also pray that new people would attend and that the Gospel would touch hearts. Many have attended over many years and have been impacted by consistent Christian witness, pray that there would be fruit for their labour.

Street Pastors –that God will lay a desire in the hearts of Christians to minister to local people through this ‘front line’ initiative.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) - that God would become more of a reality in the lives of the clients and that more volunteers would come forward to help in the various opportunities; the practical arrangements;  protection, energy and effectiveness for the coaches and managers;  we see people saved and set free from poverty and addiction; and for the ongoing work of the Debt Centre Manager and her past, present and future clients.

We shall print a summary of the various clubs and activities, together with these prayer points when this review is complete.
