Chat and Pack – for Refugee Families
We are a group of ladies collecting and packing toiletries and other items for Asylum Seekers who are newly arrived in the UK. The next meeting is on Thursday 7th June at 7.30pm in the Gelliwastad building. We are collecting toiletries for men and women and other items listed on the white plastic box provided for donations at the back of the church. Winter clothing is not required at present. If you wish to know more please see Teresa Adams or Ruth Hoffman.
Youth and Schools Mission
Message Wales are running a Youth and Schools Mission called Higher South Wales across our region later this year. There is a regional launch event for this on Saturday 9 June at the Muni in Pontypridd from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. This will include live music, a bold proclamation of the Gospel, and an opportunity to respond. It is for families, neighbours and the whole church community. Please see and take the flyers at the back of the church.
St Catherine’s Bus Trip
St Catherine’s is running another bus trip, this time to Porthcawl. It is on Wednesday 13th June when the bus will leave the Muni Hall bus stop at 9.15am for St Marys Church Porthcawl to join their 10.30am Service. There is then free time in the town until around 3.30pm when we return. The fare is £10 per person.

Romanian Trip Fundraiser
You will know that Martin and Dana Davis and Carol and Fran Hoey are visiting the Romanian orphanages they support during the summer.
Please join them for an afternoon tea fundraiser for their Romanian trip. This is on Saturday 16 June from 11am at Gelliwastad Road. There will be tea, scones and a variety of sandwiches and cakes on offer for £5 per person.
There is a women’s Lavish event in the evening of Saturday 16 June. More information is available from Jess Morgan.
There is a Men’s Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday 23 June from about 9.30am at Gelliwastad Road. Please let Simon Mealing know whether you will be coming.

There will be a family fun day at Garwnant on Saturday 14 July 2018. Lifts will be available for those without transport.
