Art Work of Margaret Elwood
I just want to say a big thank you to everyone at church who supported the Hidden Bid Auction of Margaret Elwood’s art work and say that bids were made to the sum of £474 in total for Cardiff Concern (which includes £98 from the ladies at Time Off). I’m sure Cardiff Concern will be very pleased to receive this generous donation. Bless you all, Vivien.
Town Centre Evangelism
Wed 27/6 to Sat 30/6 at St Catherine's 10am to 1pm next week we have different churches together in the town centre going around and chatting to folk, asking if they'd like someone to say a prayer of blessing with them. Last year this was a great time of growing in confidence speaking about faith. So if you feel like you would like to be bolder and share that Jesus has good plans for us then join in. There is a prayer and praise meeting on Tuesday night 26/6 at 7.30pm to kick it off. This is part of New Wine Mission to Wales. Maggie Hughes
Christians Against Poverty Lunch
Come and find out how people from local churches can see lives change under God’s grace. Bring an encouraging smile and helpful hand to CAP clients; overcoming addictions, finding work, living on low incomes, becoming debt free. St Catherine’s on Thursday 28/6 at 1pm with free light lunch provided
Art and Craft Group
This group is led by talented creatives Liz Dorey and Meg Adams. Please come on Thursday 28 June at 7.45pm to our Graig building if you would like to discover and develop your creative skills.
Churches Together Community Picnic
Come and join us, bring your blanket, favourite food and, for small folk, their favourite teddy bear too! All are welcome. Sunday 1st July in Ynysangharad Park from 12.30pm.
Trip to Weston-super-Mare
The Time Off group is running a trip to Weston-super-Mare on the 3rd of July, which is open to the wider church. The cost (minimum £10) will depend on numbers and will reduce the price of the coach. Anyone interested please speak to Vivien Thomas.
Chat and Pack – for Refugee Families
We are a group of ladies collecting and packing toiletries and other items for Asylum Seekers who are newly arrived in the UK. The next meeting is on Thursday 5 July at 7.30pm in the Gelliwastad building. We are collecting toiletries for men and women and other items listed on the white plastic box provided for donations at the back of the church. Winter clothing is not required at present. If you wish to know more please see Teresa Adams or Ruth Hoffman.
