This Sunday

Summer Spruce Up!

Our church family has a big day coming up, with Meg & Tom’s wedding on Aug 17th. We need to get the building looking good – so please come and lend a hand. No specialist DIY skills necessary - just the desire to help out, get stuck in and enjoy time spent together.

We’re setting aside three evenings:
  Mon 13th, Tues 14th & Wed 15th August

Jobs to be done include:

-          Weeding out front

-          Cleaning

-          Dusting the pews in the balcony

-          Sorting out storage areas

-          Painting walls

Can you help?
Please let Stephen, Wayne or Andy know.

Vision Focus

The church members' meeting has agreed a process to discern where God is leading our church involving times of prayer, fasting and discussion. As we pray, fast and listen to one another, we want to hear God's voice guiding us as we work towards a collaborative decision on what paid roles are needed at Temple to bring Kingdom growth.

Please see the Vision Focus document for more details of this process.

Church Maintenance Volunteers

The intensive maintenance days at the church will be Mon 13, Tues 14 and Wed 15 August.  This will then show the church at its best for the wedding of Meg and Tom on Friday 17 August.  There are plenty of tasks that do not require specific DIY skills including painting, general tidy up, sorting out storage areas, clearing weeds outside and some intensive cleaning.  Please contact Stephen Barthorpe or speak to Andy or Wayne if you are able to help.

Maggie Hughes would appreciate some help with garden clearance at The Harvest Bookshop.

Graig Holiday Club

The Palm Tree Island Holiday Club runs at our Graig building during the last week of the school holidays Tuesday 28 to Friday 31 August for primary school children years 1 to 6.  There will be games, craft, songs and exciting Bible stories.  Please see Mark Dorey if you would like to volunteer some help.

Big Bite Food Festival

This annual festival returns to Ynysangharad Park on Sat 4th and Sun 5th August from 11am to 5pm each day.

There will be a Fairtrade stall again this year.  Volunteers are invited to staff this, ideally in 2 hour shifts (11am to 1pm; 1pm to 3pm; and 3pm to 5pm), though help for 1 hour would also be useful.  Please see Maggie Hughes if you are able to help.
