• Responsibility for the spiritual health of the church (including preaching / teaching topics)  

    • Formulating and articulating the vision for the Church  

    • Concern for the spiritual well-being of the congregation (working with existing leadership team)  

    • Support and encouragement (empowering) of the existing deacons in the ongoing development of their ministries.  

    • Oversight of small groups. 

    • Be a charity trustee.

    • Lead the finance team and be the main point of contact for the Finance Team with the Leadership Team. 

    • Ensure the church has appropriate banking and book-keeping arrangements. 

    • Manage the church budget. 

    • Process expense claims. 

    • Manage the payroll, insurance, suppliers and bills. 

    • Over see the claim for Gift Aid. 

    • Oversee the production of financial statements for the annual return 

    • Be a trustee of the church.

  • Provide oversight for the church’s youth and children’s ministries.

    They will act as the main point of contact for Sunday School, Off the Grid, and Tiddlers, supporting volunteers, helping with communication to the wider Leadership Team, and ensuring the work is well cared for.

    The role focuses on coordination and oversight rather than leading any group/s, helping our ministries run smoothly and continue to nurture young people in their faith.

  • Champion the church’s building redevelopment initiative.

    They will act as the main point of contact between the Building project team and the Leadership Team, keeping the Leadership Team informed of progress, needs, and any issues that arise.

    By regularly attending Leadership Team meetings, they will help ensure clear communication and momentum so that the redevelopment work continues to move forward. It is envisaged that this role will only exist for one term as a fixed term project.
