Tears of Gold is a series of portraits of Christian Nigerian women, all of whom experienced sexual violence because of their faith and gender. The exhibition consists of seven original self-portraits and seven copies of professional portraits painted by British artist, Hannah Rose Thomas. The women’s stories are told as part of the exhibition to help raise awareness and understanding of the issues affecting persecuted women.

Tears of Gold is part of Open Doors UK&I’s See. Change. Campaign focused on persecuted women and girls. Serving Persecuted Christians Worldwide See. Change. - Open Doors UK & Ireland
